Obituary for Mr. James Alfred Howe
Mr. Jim Howe of Nanton, Alberta passed away on November 17, 2018 at the age of 75 years. Jim is survived by sons Jerry (Dail); Lawrence (Lorie); grandchildren Carl, Russel, Donovan, Austin, Cooper; sisters Clara (Ken) Herriman; brother Robert (Marilyn) Howe, brother-in-law Barry Sparks and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his parents Chancy and Dorothy Howe and sister Alma Sparks.
Jim was born in High River and grew up on the family farm in the Meadowbank area. He continued farming and ranching in the Meadowbank, Bearberry and Nanton areas. He spent many years employed in Sales of agricultural equipment, vehicles and RV’s. He took pride in being one of the founders of High River Autoplex and RV. Jim also enjoyed time outdoors hunting, trapshooting competitively and golfing. His joy was camping and quality time with his grandkids and spending numerous winters in Quartzite, Arizona where he made many friends and acquaintances. Jim’s family would like to send a special thank you to the Chattaway’s for their kindness and treating him as family over the past years.
A Come and Go Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 30th, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Highwood Golf & Country Club, 400 – 7th Street NW, High River, AB. Memorial Donations can be made to the High River District Health Foundation www.highriverhealthfoundation.ca
