Jim grew up in Barriere. After leaving school he worked in the forest industry before becoming a heavy duty mechanic.
He was happiest out in nature and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Jim was predeceased by his father, John in 1955, sister Marion, step father Dave and uncle Tom.
Survived by his daughters Carrie (Darren) and Sara (Russ) , 2 grandchildren Kobe and Mackenzie. Also survived by his mother Jessie, brother Ed, sister Sharon and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim will be remembered for his sense of humour, grin and twinkle in his eyes and his love of animals.
No service to be held at this time
Thank you to the staff at Dr Helmcken Memorial Hospital and the wonderful hospice workers for such great care in Jim’s final days.
