CARTER, Jack Cole
May 28, 1995 – September 17, 2018
Jack passed away peacefully at his home in Burlington on Monday September 17, 2018 at the age of 23. Loving son of Steven Carter and Stacey Ferguson-Carter. Cherished brother of Charles Carter. Dear grandson of Lloyd Ferguson and Helen Millward and the late Mary Lou Ferguson, the late Maurice Carter and late Lois Carter. Loving nephew of Palmer Ferguson, John Ferguson (Melanie), Kendall Ferguson, Ted Ferguson (Michelle), Lesley Carter, Susan Danniels (Marcus), Ray Danniels (Alex), Kelly Carter (Baron Rogers), and Bradley Carter (Cara). He will be dearly missed by his girlfriend Tayya Green and all of his amazing cousins, friends and colleagues. Jack will always be fondly remembered by all who knew him for being such a beautiful, sensitive, kind, compassionate, smart, funny and unique young man with his big smile and even bigger heart of gold. He had a bright future and his positive energy could be felt by anyone around him. Jack was everyone’s friend and will forever be our Gentle Giant.
Private Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333, on Sunday September 30, 2018 from 3:00pm-5:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm and on Monday October 1, 2018 from 6:00pm-9:00pm. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre (440 Locust Street, Burlington), on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 1:00pm. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s memory to Burlington’s Ron Edwards Family YMCA Strong Kids Foundation or the Canadian Mental Health Association Halton Region Branch would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
