December 24, 1940 – August 1, 2018

FOWLER, J. Lucy – Of Middleton passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown, NS. Born in Middleton she was the youngest daughter of the late Gilbert and Dorothy (Slocomb) Bent. Following graduation from Middleton Regional High School, she was employed at the Royal Bank in Middleton. Lucy was an avid bowler which she enjoyed for over 40 years. She was a member of the Middleton Baptist Church and volunteered for many years at Soldiers Memorial Hospital Gift Shop as well as other charities. Lucy loved her family and was very proud of her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Roger, daughters, Sally (Stephen) Wagner, Halifax, Cindy (Peter) Burchell, Halifax, granddaughters, Brittany and Hayley Wagner, grandsons, Benjamin and Jacob Burchell, sister Dorothy Beals, sister -in-laws, Betty, Mary and Phyllis Bent and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Malcolm, Lloyd, Gilbert Jr. and sister Barbara. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Service will be held in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. 2:00 PM Sunday, August 5, 2018 with Rev. Danny Smith officiating and reception for family and friends will follow the service. Family interment will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton at a later date.
