It is with great sadness that the family of J. Leonard Arsenault announces his passing, which occurred on February 3, 2018. He passed away peacefully at Bobby’s Hospice. Len was born in Jacquet River on October 28, 1943. Len will be missed by his loving wife, Phyllis of 54 years; his children Brenda, Barb (Jamie), Sharon (Don), Michelle and John (Natasha); grandchildren Jamie (Aimee), Halie, Mat (Jocelyn), Andrew (Samantha), Ryan (Amanda), Jon, Deanna, Devin, Nic and Julia. He is also survived by his mother, Mary; his sisters Veronica, Luella, Charlotte, Ida, Inez; several nieces and nephews; as well as all those lives he touched along the way. Len was predeceased by his father, John Arsenault, and brother-in-law, Sonny London. Len retired as District Manager of Sobeys Stores in 2001. He worked for Sobeys for 42 years. Len had a huge passion and respect for his work, the Sobeys family and his employees. Len was a hard worker. He enjoyed working outside and was well known for having a beautiful lawn and garden. He also enjoyed working in his garage and spending time with family and friends. Len loved to spend time at his summer camp near the Washademoak Lake. Len was kind, generous and enjoyed helping people with anything they needed help with. He was always there to lend a helping hand. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful care and compassion provided by the staff at the IV Day Hospital at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Extramural nurses and the staff at Bobby’s Hospice. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation being held on Friday from 4-8. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Church on Saturday at 11am, with a reception to follow in the HOPE Centre. Remembrances of Len may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or Bobby’s Hospice. Len will be forever missed, always loved and never forgotten.
