KANE, Herbert “Herbie” Sr., Passed away peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton on April 13th, 2018 after a brief illness, in his 82nd year. Predeceased by his wife, Goldie. Loving father of Herb Jr. (Sue). Extremely proud grandfather of Mitchell and Matthew. Predeceased by parents, Michael and Winifred Kane. Remembered by his sister, Mary and brother George “Sun” and predeceased by his brother, Winston (Judy). Herb will also be sadly missed by his dear friend of many years, Kathleen Spencer. Herb was a veteran of the Canadian Coast Guard and the Merchant Marines and was an active member at many of the local service clubs. He retired from Dofasco in 1994. Cremation has taken place. Private interment will take place at a later date. A special word of thanks to the staff at the Juravinski for their level of dedication and extreme compassion with a very special thank you to Germaine in ICU.
