OBITUARY
Henrietta Thiessen
August 12, 1919 – October 5, 2018
Peacefully at The Rockcliffe Residence in Ottawa where she was on palliative care, Henrietta passed away on October 5th 2018. She was 99 years old. She had been living for the past 18 years at the New Edinburg Square Residence in Ottawa where she was very happy and received excellent care. She was the daughter of the late Henry Louis Thiessen and Blanche Lord and the sister of the late Nina-Marie Thiessen. She will be remembered by her cousins Louise and Nicole Letellier, Anne Thiessen, Pierrette Lord, the family of the late Just Letellier (Diana Arnison), his sons Marc (Anne Clément) and Paul (Monique Cloutier) and also by Colette Joncas Lord and Brigitte Lord Lutfy. She is also survived by close relatives and friends from Canada and the USA who visited her and whom she was very fond of, especially Thérèse Duval. She was a retiree of Radio- Canada in Montréal where she worked for over 30 years. The family wishes to thank the personnel of the second floor at The Rockcliffe Residence for their attentive care. Friends and relatives may visit at Racine Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa (613) 241-3680, on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 1 to 2 p.m. A service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Funeral Home’s chapel. She will be buried in Troy, NY, USA. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice will be appreciated.
