Obituary of Helga Losier, Reserve Mines
Helga “April” Losier
Reserve Mines
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful woman, Helga Losier, age 68 on Tuesday, September 18th, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney with her loving daughters at her side.
Born in Lunenburg, Germany, Helga had many titles in her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, aunt, sister and friend, but for many she was known as “April”.
April was a strong woman who ensured her family came first. She worked her whole life making sure others were happy. She loved to cook, bake and play Pogo. She always filled the table with plenty of food as it was surrounded by many family and friends over the years.
She will be missed by her daughters, Michelle Leger, Kimberly Losier and Christine McMullin. Her legacy will live on by her 3 daughters, 13 grandchildren, 4 soon to be 5 great-grandchildren.
Helga was predeceased by her loving husband of 43 years Rene Losier “Frenchie”, her son, Edgar Leger and her parents.
A special thanks to the nurses and doctors and the Renal Dialysis Unit at Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the family home at 30 Center Street, Reserve Mines, N.S. Saturday, September 22nd, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm.
