The passing of Helen Louise Dickinson, of Fredericton, NB, wife of Herb Curtis, occurred on May 21, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.
Born on August 31, 1946 in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Yvonne (LeClerc) Dickinson.
Helen graduated from St. Vincent’s High School, Saint John, NB in 1964.
She later went on to receive her BA and BED from St. Thomas University, Fredericton, NB; her Masters of Social Work from Wilfred Laurier University, Waterloo, ON and her Law Degree from University of New Brunswick.
She practised at Hanson & Hachey and Matthew McRae and Elliott law firms. Helen enjoyed traveling, fly fishing and she was an avid reader.
She is survived by her sister, Geraldine Gautreau of Saint John, NB; her brother, Brian Dickinson (Kathleen Jackson) of Saint John, NB; three nieces, Andrea Breau (Bill), Suzanne Allain (Eric) and Christine Gardner (Brian); three grandnieces; Jessica Beman, Erica and Chantal Breau.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
