New
Glasgow: Helen Elizabeth Linthorne Geddes age 95 of Glen
Haven Manor , New Glasgow and formerly of Springville and Stellarton
passed away on Saturday November 10th ,2018 in
the manor .
Born in
New Glasgow , she was a daughter of the late
Duncan and Johanna (Ryan) MacNeil.
Helen was
a longtime resident of Springville and had previously lived in
Stellarton. She enjoyed dancing , crafts
,sewing along with travelling and camping. Helen
was a member of Sharon St. John United
Church.
Surviving
are a daughter Helen (Stephen) Doucette of
Hopewell
Sons:
Brian Linthorne and Pete Linthorne of
Stellarton
Darrell
(Connie) Linthorne of Bridgeville
Daughters-in-law Jean Linthorne and Donna
Hughes

grandchildren , numerous great grandchildren and great great
grandchildren
A sister
Ann Darroch of New Glasgow
A number of nieces and
nephews.
She was
predeceased by her first husband Walter Linthorne , her second husband
Eldred Geddes ,sons James (Bo) , Bernie ,Wallace and Joseph
, also a number of brothers and
sisters.
The
family will receive visitors from 12 -1:45 P.M. on Wednesday in the
Sharon St. John United Church from where funeral service
will take place at 2 P.M. with Rev Bonnie Fraser
officiating. Burial will be in the Brookside Cemetery . A reception
will follow in the church hall . Donations in memory of Helen may be
made to a charity of one’s
choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
H.C.MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to
