Obituary of Hayward James Russell
Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, Hayward James Russell of Victoria, age 75 years. Predeceased by infant daughter: Lynn; parents: Lockard and Effie. Leaving to mourn, loving wife of 55 years, Lillian; four daughters: Sharon (Weston) Hunt and Rosalie Russell (Michael), both of St. John’s, Lillian (Sean) Caines, Cow Head, and Juanita (Wayne) Miller, Flatrock; two sons: Jim (Hope), Ontario and Dion (Anne), St. John’s; nine grandchildren: Alexandra, Thomas, Travis, Jennifer, Carson, Brandon, Randy, Heather, and Marie; two great-grandchildren: Ethan and Skylar; two brothers: Lockard (Joan) and Lewis (Betty), both of Victoria; five sisters: Francis (Wayne) Nugent, Spaniard’s Bay, Minnie (Lloyd) Snow, Bay Roberts, Mabel (Milton) Reid and Effie (Cameron) Rowsell, both of Miles Cove, Green Bay, and Alliene (Bill) Bishop, Bay Roberts; two brothers-in-law: Gideon (Victoria) Mansfield, Hant’s Harbour and Ronald (Jeanette) Mansfield, Conception Bay South; two sisters-in-law: Annie Mansfield, Victoria and Muriel (Wilfred) Ash, Hant’s Harbour; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethel Pentecostal Church, Victoria. Interment in Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Victoria. No flowers by request, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Hayward James Russell Memorial Fund, c/o Noel’s Funeral Homes, 106 Water Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9.
