It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Ed Montague. Predeceased by his parents, Harvey and Mary Montague and brother Clayton.
Left with fond and loving memories, his adoring wife of 53 years, Joyce; daughter Robyn; sons: Ed (Sarah) and Sean (Kara); grandchildren: Jaxon, Donnelly and Ryah; sisters: Mary (Max-deceased), Nina (Ron), Karen (George) and Jeanne (Bob); brothers: Lloyd (Barbara) and Chris (Sheila); sister-in-law Annie (Clayton-deceased); as well as countless nieces, nephews, family and friends.
As a geologist, Ed travelled the world with his family but his heart was always in Labrador. He loved the Big Land-its people and its history and it is there where his soul will remain. He is finally home.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11th. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 12th, 2018 from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Health Care Foundation.
