Harold James Pyne – Age 86 of Smith’s Cove passed away December 23, 2018 in Digby General Hospital.
Born December 1, 1932 in Digby, he was a son of the late Lyman and Oda (Gates) Pyne. Harold is an Armed Forces Veteran, serving as a peacekeeper 1951-1954 and 1963-1966 in Germany, 1959-1976 RCEME, 1976-1984 Civilian RCEME. He earned trades as an electrician and heavy duty mechanic. He was a handy-man and mechanic extraordinaire who could fix anything; he was well organized and always had a list on the go. He loved his dog, Kokanee and he loved his family and friends, whether it was a visit or a connection by phone. He had a hearty appetite and enjoyed reading the paper, watching sports and favourite shows, Blue Bloods and Big Bang Theory on the TV. Harold enjoyed drives to take in the beauty of scenery but his true passion was hunting and fishing and spending time in nature.
