H. Mary’s Obituary
Helen Mary Jennings (née Macdonald)
With sadness and deep love and gratitude we say good-bye to our beloved mother and grandmother, who slipped peacefully and gently away on Monday, November 26, at the age of 96. Predeceased by her husband, Richard Hubert Jennings, her parents Douglas James and Evelyn (Whitside) Macdonald, and her brother John (“Monk”) Macdonald. Mourned by her son Paul and daughter-in-law Elisabeth (Bachem), her grandchildren Magdalena, Cecilia, and Bruno, her sister Jeanne Carter, and many nieces and nephews. Mary was raised in Toronto, and trained as a nurse at Wellesley Hospital. She lived many years in Kleinburg, Ont., before moving in her last years to Nova Scotia.
Thanks to the staff of the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home for their compassionate care. A funeral will be held for Mary at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Middleton, NS, on Wednesday, December 19, at 2 pm, the Rev. Lynn Uzans presiding. A burial service will be held sometime in the spring at Christ Church, Woodbridge, Ont., for Ontario friends and family. Online guestbook may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
