Obituary of Guy Charbonneau
CHARBONNEAU, Guy Joseph – At Vision Nursing Home on Sunday, July 15, 2018, Guy Charbonneau died at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Kathryn. Loving father of Jayne Toll & her husband Peter, Pt. Edward, Michael Charbonneau, Aurora, and Diane Austin & her husband Gary, Lapeer, MI. Cherished grandfather of Andrew, Jeremy, Trevor, Caroline, Leah, Jack, Hannah, Natalie and Theresa. Dear brother of Gerry Charbonneau, Quebec. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents Emile & Marie Charbonneau, his brother Roger Charbonneau and sisters Lucille Weston and Giselle Gavan.
Guy will be missed and is loved by so many. As a teacher, Guy Inspired hope, ignited the imagination, and instilled a love of learning in the many students he taught over the years. Guy’s retirement years were filled with the love of travel with Kathy, and countless hours with his grandchildren. Guy’s life was a blessing, and his memory is a treasure.
Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St. Sarnia on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 4 – 6 p.m. Prayers will be offered at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, July 21st at 11:00 a.m. Private interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
