Gordon Trim
TRIM, Gordon – Passed away peacefully at Saint Luke’s Place, Cambridge on Monday, August 13th 2018 at the age of 94.
Beloved husband of the late Ona Trim (née Taylor); loving father of Gail Hastings (Don) and the late Bill Trim (Lina). Cherished grandfather of Emily Pederson (Paul), Tim Hastings, Christopher Trim (Jocelyn), and Victoria Trim and great-grandfather 5 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of June Cunningham (the late Alf). Gordon will be remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Gordon was predeceased by his parents William and Agnes Trim, and brother Don Trim.
Gordon served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in WWII and after the war he joined the Highland Light Infantry and was a former Pipe Major of the HLI Pipe Band. Gordon was a lifelong member of the Canadian Royal Legion Galt Branch #121.
The family would like the to say a special thank you to CBI Home Care workers, Meals on Wheels, and Saint Luke’s Place for the wonderful care Gordon received.
Gordon’s family will receive relatives and friends at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge on Saturday, August 25th from 11am-12 noon. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, August 25th at 12 noon. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery, Cambridge. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Luke’s Place Foundation.
