Obituary of Giovannina Tatone
TATONE, Giovannina – Peacefully on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Heidehof Home in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Antonio Tatone. Cherished mother of Pat (George Upper), Oswald Tatone (Barb), Victor Tatone (Adele), Helen (Donald Yakobchuk) and Robert Tatone (Jackie). Nonna will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Jennifer Tatone (Patrick Kenny), Lance Tatone (Cameron), Stephen Tatone, Elise Tatone (Fred Garand), Joanna (Byron Hemlow), Anthony Upper, Bryan Tatone (Caitlin), Daniel Tatone, Cristina (Keith Stanger) and Amelia (Matthew Vollick). Bisnonna had twelve great grandchildren. Giovannina is survived by her brother Mario Iannarelli (Margaret) and predeceased by her siblings Giuseppina Cardelli and Antonio Iannarelli. Friends will be received at the BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018 with Vigil Prayers recited at 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE HOLY ROSARY CHURCH, 21 Queen Street, Thorold, on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Giovannina’s family will attend the Rite of Committal at Lakeview Cemetery at a later date. The family wish to thank the compassionate caregivers at Heidehof Home and Cobblestone Gardens for the excellent care that they provided for our mother. Mom taught us to be grateful for all that we had and to accept and overcome adversity with grace. We love you Mom.
