It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry Giesen on Saturday, June 23rd, 2018 at Springhaven, the home he shared with his late wife Helen (Damen) Giesen (2017) at the age of 80. Loving father of Richard Giesen and Catherine Murphy, Krista and Hugh Dietrich, Karin Giesen and Mike Neale, and Kelly and Mark Von Eschen. Already missing their Grandpa’s unconditional love and generosity are Max and Cooper; Eric and Katy, Grant and Devin, and Jake; Owen, Jackson and Hayden; Jonas and Clare. Dear brother and brother-in-law of John and Georgette Giesen, Annie Giesen, Willy Giesen, Anita Giesen, Tony and Mary Ann Giesen, and David McAdam. Predeceased by his brothers Leo, Bill, Ted and Henry, sister Maria McAdam, and sister-in-law Reik Boerstal. Jerry will be sadly missed by the entire Damen family.
Visitation and a celebration of Jerry’s life at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main St., Lucan on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Patrick Church, 32922 Richmond Street, Lucan on Saturday, June 30th at 11 AM. Cremation has taken place and private graveside service will be held at a later date.
