Gerald Allister Denty
With sorrow, the family of Gerald Allister Denty announces his sudden passing on Saturday, December 8th, 2018 at home.
Born in Halifax on March 2 1930, he was the son of the late Frederick and Eliza (Mayo) Denty. Gerald grew up and lived all his life in Fairview.
He was employed as a driver for various companies in the Halifax area and in 1987, he retired from City Field Mechanics Shop.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 63 years, Muriel (King), daughter Deborah, son Jerry (Judy), grandsons Graham, (Ashley) and Gregory (Jennifer) sister Joyce Macleod.
He was predeceased by brothers Frank, Hebert, Earl, Thomas and Austen and two brothers in infancy, and sisters Mildred, Rachel and Shirley.
Visitation will take place in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax on Wednesday, December 12 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm,
Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, December 13th, at 1:00 pm The Rev. Randy Townsend officiating.
Family flowers only. Donations in Gerald’s memory can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
