George Arnell May 26 1937 April 8 2018 (age 80)

Arnell, George Richard
Passed away on April 8, 2018. Beloved partner of Ellen Gusek. Survived by siblings Gordon and Helen. Predeceased by son Jim (Tammie). Dear father of Gordon and Lorie (Dave). He will be remembered fondly by his grandchildren Nicole (Steve), Cory and Cody (Summer).
George grew up in Alberta and after travelling the world during a 30-year career at Texaco as an industrial film maker, he settled down in Rocky Mountain House to further pursue his love of art. Completely self-taught, George would go on to produce hundreds of paintings, many of them award-winning.
His last 20 years were divided between Avon Park, Florida and Sandbanks, Ontario with Ellen and his cherished Yorkshire terriers. George continued to paint and freely gave his time giving art lessons to the community.
George will be sadly missed. As per his wishes, there will be no formal service. Cremation has taken place with Milestone Cremation Services, Napanee. A celebration of life will occur later this Spring.
Friends desiring may contribute in his memory to the Quinte Humane Society, Loyalist Humane Society, Picton or the County of Prince Edward Public Library. Online condolences and memories can be shared with the family at www.milestonecremation.ca
