Gary LeBrasceur May 17th 1948 July 28th 2018

It is with deeply saddened hearts that the family of Gary Lee LeBrasceur announces his peaceful passing on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Bluewater Health at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Sue for 48 years. Cherished father of Jim (Maria) LeBrasceur and John (Krista) LeBrasceur. Adored grandfather of Madison, Anthony, Nathan, Chloe and Sophia, and “special papa” to Ashley Subinski. Lovingly remembered by his brother Bud (Joan) LeBrasceur, sisters Yvonne (Mike) Lavergne and Darlene (Gary) Cooper and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dear friend of Larry and Rita Marcotte and family, Jimmy Tayler and Hayward Thorne. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Dorothy LeBrasceur, and his in-laws, Walt and Eileen Kelley. Gary was a past member of the C.M.C. and Sarnia Street Machine clubs. He loved his Harley Davidson and his 1971 Monte Carlo. Gary spent his years working at Polysar, Bayer and Furmanite & Sealtec. The family would like to thank the staff and friends at New Beginnings Stroke Recovery Centre for supporting Gary after his strokes. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 1465 Lecaron, Sarnia. Cremation to follow, and a private burial of ashes will be held in Resurrection Cemetery, Sarnia. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to New Beginnings ABI & Stroke Recovery Association or a charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
