Garry’s Obituary
SMITH, Garry Arnold ~ age 69, of Aylesford, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 in the QEII Halifax Infirmary, Halifax surrounded by his family and friends. Born in Yellowknife, NWT he was a son of the late Arnold and Rosemond (Smee) Smith. Garry owned and operated Klahanie Kamping in Aylesford, with his wife Brenda. Their old English bulldog “Camper” was a constant companion and the newest member of the family. Garry was a 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Brenda (Marshall); daughter, Emelye (Robert) Wood, Halifax; son, Jada Smith (Laura Pryor), BC; sister, Sue, Alberta; brother, Rick, British Columbia; grandchildren, Cooper, Lillie and Langley; brother-in-law, Mark Marshall. Besides his parents, Garry was predeceased by sisters, Sandra, Rosealie and brothers, Bryant and Lyn. In keeping with Garry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm, Friday, November 16, 2018 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 17, 2018 in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 120 Mill Street, Berwick, with Father John MacPherson officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service in the Parish Centre of the church. Donations in Garry’s memory may be made to the Knights of Columbus, Canadian Cancer Society- Prostate Cancer or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.Online guestbook may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
