Fred Borzel
1934 – 2018
It is with saddened hearts that the family of Frederick Charles Borzel announce his passing at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice on Friday, November 30, 2018, at the age of 84 years. Along with Ann, his beloved wife of almost 62 years, left to cherish Fred’s memory are his daughters, Cindy Schlosser and her children, Bryan (Steph) and their children, Taylor and Wynter and Ryley (Jessie) and their children, Ryker and Tyten; Shelley (Ivan) Martens and their children Kayla (Tyler) and Desa (Jeff); his four-legged family, Coors, Milee, Malibu, Kona and Preacher; siblings, Art Borzel, Annette Lawyer and Bob (Bridgett) Borzel; Ann’s brother, Erven (Gail) Mackintosh as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Fred was predeceased by his son-in-law, Guy Schlosser; parents, August and Alice as well as his step-mother, Grace. Fred and Ann lived in Swift Current for 50 years before moving to Medicine Hat to be closer to their family. For many years Fred could be found on the track driving chuckwagons and chariots. He played many sports especially curling. Fred’s favourite interest was old steam engines but nothing beat time spent with his family. He was a kind and helpful person who will be missed. Fred’s life will silently remembered without the proceedings a formal funeral service.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Fred Borzel 1934 2018..
