1937-2018
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our
mother, Frances Gail Bailey, 81 years of
Springhill, on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in Cumberland Regional
Health Care Centre. Born in Springhill, Gail was a daughter of the
late Frank and Stella (Whalen) Allen.
Gail spent three years in the Canadian Air Force, followed by
thirty-four years working at MacAloney/High Crest Nursing Home. She
enjoyed spending time at the cottage, crafts, and her
family.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Barbara Fraser,
Cheryl (Gerald) Cliffe and Donna (Dwight) Guthro; son, Frank (Kim)
Bailey; eight grandchildren, Carrie (Paul) Williams, Gerald (Chrissy)
Cliffe Jr., Heather (Brian) Guthro, Sarah Guthro, Taylor (Kursten)
Bailey, Monica (Denny) Snowden, Heidi Fraser, and David (Carolyn)
Fraser; six great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Brown, and brothers,
Frank (Joan) Allen, and Richard (Faith) Allen
Besides her parents, Gail was predeceased by her husband
Lawrence Bailey and son-in-law Carl Fraser.
Arrangements
are under the care and direction of A H Brown Funeral
Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361)
from where visitation will be held 6-8 pm on Friday, November 16,
2018. A funeral mass will be held at St. John The Baptist Roman
Catholic Church on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10 am with Father
Phil Thibodeau presiding. Burial to follow in the parish
cemetery.
If so desired donations in memory of Gail may be made to the
Canadian Kidney Foundation or a charity of the donor’s
choice.
