With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Florence Beatrice (Thompson) Totton, devoted wife to the late George E., which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 24th, 2018. Florence was born on September 19, 1925 to the late George W. and Fannie M. (Morrell) Thompson.
Florence is survived by her sons Gordon (Margo) Totton of Gorham’s Bluff, NB and Lawrence “Larry” Totton of Saint John, NB; sister Clara Pearl of Vancouver, B.C. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, 15 great children and her 2 great-great grandchildren.
Along with her is predeceased by her brothers and sisters; George, Stanley, Lawrence, Helen Demmons, Edna Yeomans, Frances Matheson, Marjorie Parlee, Shirley Gorham, Eva Thomson, Kathleen Waddell daughter in-laws Eva Totton and Margaret Totton.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). An evening of visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 between the hours of 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. A celebration of Florence’s life will be held on Saturday, January 27 at 11 AM from the Chapel of the Loch Lomond Villa. Interment to take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date.
If desired, memorial donations placed towards the Heart and Stroke Foundation or M.S. Society would be appreciated by the family.
