Evelyn Gertrude Walsh, age 85, Hantsport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 16, 2018 at Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, with her husband, Robert by her side.
Born on April 3, 1932, in Springhill, Nova Scotia, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Guy and Harriet Demings.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert; son, Allan (Deborah); daughter, Joy (Hal) Lavers; 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Alton (Joan) Demings; sisters, Beryl Chipman and Shirley Starratt; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Ronald, Fraser, and Carl; sister, Dorothy Porter.
Evelyn enjoyed spending time with Robert at their cottage on Whalen Lake or sitting on their deck at home watching the Hantsport Shamrocks play ball.
Arrangements under the care of Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, NS, B0N 2T0.
No visitation or funeral by request.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018, in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport.
Family flowers only, donations in Evelyn’s memory may be made to Dykeland Lodge or charity of your choice.
