Obituary of Eva Sweitzer-Grigg
SWEITZER-GRIGG: Peacefully, with her daughter by her side, at Exeter Villa Nursing Home, Exeter, on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, Eva Belva (Comfort) Sweitzer-Grigg, of Exeter, formerly of Shipka, age 92. Eva was born in Gainsborough Township, Fenwick, Ontario to Alton and Elsie (McPherson) Comfort. Beloved wife of the late Milton Sweitzer (1988) and the late Ivan Grigg (2016). Loved mother of Sandra Sweitzer of Exeter. Cherished grandma of Kelly and John Handley, Kimberly and Ryan Moore. Treasured great-grandma of Brandon Handley, Clara Moore and Holden Moore. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Sylvia Hansler of Welland (late Cecil Anger and the late Orville Hansler), late Doris Sweitzer (late Stuart), late Alice Leadley (late Ted), Marilyn Pickering of Lucan (late Jack), Helen and Mike Prisciak of Smithville, Elsie and Garson Brady, Roy and Marilyn Comfort all of Welland. Remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by Milton’s family, Ila and Vern Sharpe, Nola and Murray Evans, Stuart and Doris Sweitzer. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with Visitation on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., where the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Doug Watson Officiating. Interment Crediton Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Arthritis Society of Ontario or S.H.H.F. – Jessica’s House would be appreciated by the family.
