ABRAMOVITCH, Ernest – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ernie, age 78, on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Baycrest Hospital after a brief illness. Ernie will be lovingly remembered by his wife Carolyn, daughter Ellen Fisher (David), son Mitchell (Daleet), stepson Mitchell Leitman (Sherri), stepdaughter Melissa Steadman (Jack) and grandchildren Justin, Jordan, Jacob, Zachary, Ava, Alexa, Sarah and Jake. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Nyssa and the late Mark Besner and Norm and Fraidie Smiley. He is preceded in death by his late wife Patricia and parents Faye and Lou Abramovitch. Ernie will also be fondly remembered by nephews, nieces, cousins and many dear and long-time friends. A graveside funeral service will be held at the Pardes Shalom Cemetery, 10953 Dufferin Street, Maple, on Thursday, September 27th at 11:00 a.m. Due to Sukkot, Shabbat and Simchat Torah there is no official shiva. Visits are welcome at 100 Upper Madison, Suite 1907 following the funeral until 5:00 p.m., Friday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In Memoriam donations to Amyloidosis Foundation, to Diabetes Canada or to the charity of your choice.
