Entered into rest in the arms of the Lord on Friday, September 14th , 2018 at the
Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 77. Emilio was the beloved husband of
Elsa (nee Mariano) for 50 years. Loving father of Agnes, Gianna (the late Philip
Oliveira) and Linda (Joe Infurnari). Proud and devoted nonno of Mia, Andrea,
Anthony, Adriano and Domenic. Predeceased by his parents Marcantonio and
Agnese (nee Petrucci), his siblings: Saverio, Anna and her husband Costantino,
Ettore, Eliseo (Maria), and Modestino (Giuseppina), son-in-law Philip and
nephew Anthony (Christina). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews,
family and friends. Emilio was born on August 6, 1941 in Campolieto,
Campobasso Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1969. He retired from the City of
Hamilton as a general laborer and enjoyed his years gardening and making
tomato sauce, wine, prosciutto and capocollo which he shared with family and
friends. On most summer days, you would find him puttering around in the back
yard and garage listening to his Italian music. Visitations will be held at
FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E. (near James) on
Wednesday, September 19th from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm. Vigil prayers at 8:30 pm.
Funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Thursday, September 20th, 2018 at 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre
