With heartfelt sympathy the family sorrowfully announce the passing of Ellen Drake at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center in Stephenville Crossing, NL on September 12th 2018 at the age of 87 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her three daughters Winifred (Pat) Brennan in Kippens, Beverley (Everett) Young in West Bay, Delia Drake in Bedford N.S. three sons Jerome (Peggy) in Lower Sackville N.S. Pat (Ruby) in Stephenville NL, Lou (Darlene) in West Bay, NL. Her brother Louis (Marie) in Lourdes, sisters Bernice (Howard) Flynn in B.C and Viola Flynn in Stephenville and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Patrick and Monica(Emberly) Meaney and her husband Aloysius sons Roy and Reginald, brothers Jim, Patrick and Lawrence ,sisters Margaret Flynn and Theresa Nazworth. Visitation will take place from Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Lourdes on Friday September 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 from where the funeral will take place on Monday September 17th at 10:30 A.M. with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in West Bay. As expressions of sympathy flowers gratefully accepted or donations to the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center, Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
