Ella Blanche (Baisley) Waye, of Miramichi, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 102.
Born in Wayerton, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Gertrude (Estey) Baisley. She was a homemaker and a member of St James Roman Catholic Church, in Sevogle.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Connie Charest (Richard) of Chaplin Island Road; her son Morrissey Waye (Linda) of Chaplin Island Road; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Clark Waye; her son Willis Waye; eight brothers Morrissey, Gerald, Bill, Jim, John, Lewis, Barry, and Leonard; and three sisters Jane Ashton, Rita Howe, and Theresa Johnston.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Monday, June 18, 2018, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at 11 am, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Dan Melanson officiating. Interment will take place in St James Roman Catholic Cemetery, Sevogle.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
