OBITUARY
Elizabeth Wilson
27 June , 1928 – 25 May , 2018
Beloved wife of the late Stanley Raymond Wilson, passed peacefully in her sleep in her 90th year on May 25, 2018. Born June 27, 1928, predeceased by her parents Manly and Evelyn Munro, sister Irene, brother Don and son-in-law Howard Ota. She is survived by her children Debbie, Craig (Paulette), Donna (Dan), Diana (Ron), Wayne (Sandy) and Warren (Mandy); grandchildren Lindsay (Ash), Lauren, Tyler (Angela), Trevor (Chantal), Steve(Leanne), Cathy, Jacqueline (Manny), Jessica (Brian), Kayla (Ben), Danielle (Jake), Samantha and Emily; great-grandchildren Danielle, Adam, Cailey, Bryce, Emma, Layla, Liam, Jack and Mika Munro. Mom began work pumping gas at the Joy gas station, Mom worked at CIBC from age 16 until her retirement at age 65 with a few years off in between to raise her family. Mom often talked about starting married life in 1949 as living happily and simply in “two rooms” until they purchased their first and only home in 1952, which Mom still lived in up until just a few weeks ago when failing health required the move to personal care. Mom enjoyed a simple life, venturing on a few travels, but enjoyed life at home best. Mom loved animals, especially cats, and never met a stray she didn’t feed. Mom leaves us with many memories of her 90 years, we love you, we’ll miss you but now you’re reunited with Dad and who knows maybe back in the “two rooms” where it began. The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Lau for his caring treatment and the nurses and staff on the 6th floor of Midland Gardens for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at JERRETT FUNERAL HOME, 660 Kennedy Rd., Scarborough, on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., with the funeral service to follow in the chapel at 12 p.m. Burial to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Toronto Humane Society.
