Hendry, Elizabeth (Cairns)
Betty passed away unexpectedly on March 11, 2018, due to health issues, unrelated to her valiant battle against lung cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her devoted husband Tom in 2013 and her siblings John, Ellen, Flora and Margaret. Beloved Mother to Liz and her husband Lee Moreland, Maureen Brown, Tom and his wife Ida Morra, Trish and her late husband David Craw.
Cherished Gramma to Alex, Kaleigh, Whitney, Andrew, Michael, Sean, Alexandria, Ashley and Cassandra. Proud G.G. to Callum, Alex, Ava, Ellie, Cameron and Madeline. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and extended family around the world.
Friends will be received at the Accettone Funeral Home, 384 Finley Avenue, Ajax (905-428-9090) on Thursday, March 15th, 2018 from 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm till 9:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 16th, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Francis de Sales, Roman Catholic Church,1001 Ravenscroft Rd, Ajax, Ontario. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.

Jackie, Bill, John and Topher….thank you for such a beautiful tribute…it will be a new normal for us, made bearable with the love and support from our dear friends. I am at peace with the way it played out. We weren’t ready yet, but the circumstances turned out to be the best case scenario for Mum and that trumps everything.
