Elaine Helen Nason
1936-2018
Elaine H. Nason of McAdam, NB, passed away peacefully into the arms of
Jesus, with family by her side, at Wauklehegan Manor on September 17,
2018. Elaine was born in 1936 at Maidstone, ON, the daughter of the
late Harry and Anna Mighion.
Mom was a hard worker all her life. Many years ago she began as a
caregiver and back in the day is was called a Nurse’s Aide. Mom
told me of the day she laid eyes on Dad. She told her friends,
“See that handsome guy … I’m going to marry
him”. And she kept her word.
Mom did many jobs in her life, working at the mill in McAdam, raking
blueberries, cleaning houses and raising her two children who love her
deeply and will miss her so much. Upon moving into the manor, mom
developed many relationships with staff and residents. She said they
treated her like a Queen. She loved all the activities and visits
with everyone.
Mom will be missed and loved by all who knew her. Two days prior to
going home to her Lord, mom told me her favourite scripture verse was
John 10:10b ‘I am come that they might have life, and that they might
have it more abundantly’.

She is survived by her children, Cindy Calhoun (Calvin), St. Croix, NB
and Randy Nason (Glenda), Fort McMurray, AB; six grandchildren, Tracy,
Chyanne, Billy, Norman, Sarah and Tommy; ten great grandchildren; a
very close friend, Laura Day and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband,
Norman (Bill) Nason; her second husband, Ross Nason and a
daughter-in-law, Nola Nason.
Although there will be no visitation, friends are welcome to attend a
funeral service to be held at McAdam Fellowship Church, 13 Oak Street,
McAdam, NB on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 3 pm with Rev. Billy
McGillicuddy officiating. Interment at Rockland Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Elaine, the family
has suggested the Alzheimer Society or Canadian Cancer Society.
