Eileen Phyllis Dauphinee
Dauphinee (Herring), Eileen Phyllis “Becky”, age 73, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII on Saturday Sept 22nd, 2018 with her loving husband James and cherished son Shawn by her side.
Born in Murray Harbour, PEI, she was the daughter of the late Phyllis (White) and Clarence Herring.
Eileen is survived by her loving husband of 48 years Jim; son Shawn; precious granddaughter Chelsie and beloved aunt June Nicolle; and nieces and nephews.
Eileen came to Dartmouth at the age of 15 and started working with the Royal Bank in Dartmouth. She retired after 27 years because of illness and ended up working 21 of her 27 years as the Secretary for the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Royal Bank for the Atlantic Region.
She loved to travel a lot, especially to the USA and in particular shopping for her granddaughter in Maine. She will be remembered for the love for her family and many friends.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday Sept 28, 2018 in Atlantic Funeral Homes, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the QEII Hospitalist Medicine Unit (HMU).
Special thanks to Dr. R. Reardon and Dr. G. Gubitz and all the doctors, nurses and staff in the QEII 8.4 unit for their professional manner, understanding, and kindness during Eileen’s stay.
