Edward Wilson Ted Stevenson 1930 2018

Obituary for Edward “Ted” Stevenson
November 29, 1930 – February 7, 2018
Ted passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Predeceased by his beloved wife Fay and his parents Margaret and Peter Barry. He is survived by his two sisters, Enid Gatcke and Elaine Van Merkestein.
He will be lovingly missed by his children David (Jennifer) and his devoted daughter Lisa. “Pop” was an amazing grandfather. He always enjoyed spending time with his loving grandchildren Alexandra and Michael (Sarah). He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews.
Ted had a wide group of good friends. From a young age he had a special group “the Myrmidons” who made Collingwood their weekend retreat for many years. He will be greatly missed by his loyal friends Bob Bugby and Dave McCalden. They shared many Saturday afternoons over the last few years.
Ted retired from a 30+ year career with Canadian Liquid Air in 1990 and enjoyed winters in Florida and boating with his family out of Lefroy Harbour.
Ted had a full life. He had a great sense of humour and loved to sit and “shoot the breeze” with people.
Thank you to the excellent care provided by the team at Mississauga Hospital.
