Edward Ted William Woundy 1975 2018

Obituary of Edward “Ted” Woundy
WOUNDY, Edward William “Ted”
Age 43, of Mount Denson, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville.
Ted was a loving husband to Sonja (Baettig); a devoted father to his daughter Carmen; and a loving son to his mother and father, Edna and Billy Woundy of Lunenburg.
Ted loved music – both listening and playing. He was a gifted musician and had an amazing voice. He performed at many local venues with Sonja and his dear friend Eugene. He was a teacher of music at Avon View High where he inspired generations of students through his love of music. He loved taking care of his property (have you seen his lawn?) and had a soft spot for animals. He gave the best hugs, had a fantastic sense of humor and had a contagious laugh. He was happiest when he was near the water – sitting out on a deck, contemplating life while looking out over the ocean. His friends are well aware of his terrible affliction with Bon Jovi, but always enjoyed listening to his rendition of Bed of Roses.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Ted would want you to take the time to support a young musician.
