1927-2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Edna Offrey Cadet
of Port au Choix, announces her passing at the Rufus Guinchard Health
Center Port Saunders on Saturday, June 16th, at the age of 90
years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories six
children: John (Sis), Norma (Edwin), Maurice (Debbie), Tom (Sarah),
Vange (Myles), and Murray (Laverne); 15 grandchildren, 23
great-grandchildren, & 3 great-great-grandchildren;
sister Irene (Edmund) Lawless, brother Joe (Hilda) Lavers;
sisters-in-law Gert (Lyman) Spence, Yvette (Melvin) Biggin; a large
circle of family and close friends.
She was predeceased by husband Clement Cadet; daughter Donna
(Donald) Patey; parents Joseph and Susan (nee Atkins) Offrey;
brothers: Peter, Edmund; sisters: Eudora, Maud, and
Deb.
Visitations will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home Port au
Choix on Sunday 7-9PM and Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A funeral
service will take place at St. Theresa`s RC Church Port au Choix
on Tuesday at 2:00PM with Father Raj officiating; followed by
interment at The Interfaith Cemetery Sandy Cove.
Family and friends may sign the guest book and leave messages
of condolence by visiting the website at www.fillatre.ca. Funeral
arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre Funeral homes Ltd. Port au
Choix.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her
daughter-in-law, Laverne who was her caregiver and who did such a
wonderful job looking after our mother.
The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude
to the doctors, nurses and staff at Rufus Guinchard Health Center for
their compassion and care given to them and their mother during her
stay in hospital.
