Edith Violet Baker Oct 3, 1932 – July 10, 2018 Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General hospital surrounded by loved ones, Edith Baker of Heart’s Content age 85 years. Predeceased by husband, George, mother and father Mae and John Rowe, brother’s Frank & Cyril, son Jim, daughter Elizabeth, and grandson, Devon. Leaving to mourn her children, Georgina (Bob) Balson, Cyril (Edna) Baker, Melvin (Bev) Baker, Linda (Gus) Seward, Cynthia (Don) Lahey, and youngest son, David. Also 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, one brother, Ralph (Janet) Rowe and a large circle of extended family & friends. Resting at St.Mary’s Anglican Church, Heart’s Content. Visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 (family viewing), 7-9 PM (general) on Wednesday evening. Thursday 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral service to take place on Friday, July 13th at 2:00 PM from St.Mary’s Cemetery, Heart’s Content. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
