Obituary of Doug Murray
Douglas Bruce Murray
May 7, 1941-July 9, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doug Murray. He passed away early Monday morning at the Arnprior Hospital with his wife Joyce by his side.
Doug was married to Joyce for over 50 years. He is survived by his three children; Kent, Kelly (Gary), and Kris (Amanda). He was an extremely loved Papa to Jeremy, Jacob, Chloe, Gillian, Riley, Konner (Mackenzie & Elana), Darren and Grayson.
He leaves behind his brother Bill (Diane) and his sister Frankie Taylor. Also his in laws; Marilyn and Don Erskine, Hal and Jane Snyder, Jim and Eithne Snyder, Jackie and Rob Depper, Russ and Kelly Snyder, Lori Stiles, Gail Snyder, and many nieces and nephews.
Doug was predeceased by his parents Frank and Annie Murray, his sister Gail and his in-laws Dave and Edna Snyder.
Doug was fortunate to have worked and lived his entire life in the Ottawa Valley. Doug was a long-time member of the Madawaska Golf Club and the Arnprior Curling Club. If he was ever at home, he could be found puttering around his yard. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and neighbours. His golf buddies, coffee mates and card playing friends held a special place in his heart.
Visitations at Boyce Funeral Home on Thursday July 12 from 6 – 9pm and Friday July 13 from 9 – 11am. Funeral service will be Friday morning at 11am following visitation.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to may make a donation in Doug’s memory to the Arnprior Hospital and Grove.
