Obituary of Dorothy Minor
MINOR, Dorothy J. (1933 – 2018) – age 84, of Country View Nursing Home in Sunbury, OH and formerly of Reynoldsburg, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 23, 2018 after a brief illness.
Dorothy was born in Pembroke, Ontario, Canada on June 30, 1933 to the late James Albert Campbell and Sarah Audrey (Childerhose) Faught. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Donald G. Minor in 1992 and son, Lloyd Minor in 1984. She is survived by daughter, Patricia “Patsy” (Timothy) Guittar of Pickerington, OH and son, Darrell (Michele) Minor of Sunbury, OH and daughter-in-law Dianne Tefs; grandchildren, Shylah (Jeremy) Quast, Andrew, Matthew and Jacob Minor; great-grandchildren, Isabel, Isaac and Isaiah Quast. Also survived by Tim (Jessica) Guittar, Jr., Christine Guittar, Donald (Hope) Guittar, and also Kaitlyn Ballinger, Francesca and Theodore Guittar, Abel and Autumn Guittar. After retiring from a career as a dental assistant, she spent the next 16 years working with young women and girls struggling with substance abuse and other life-controlling problems, retiring from Teen Challenge in 2014.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 5 – 7:00 p.m. at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. where funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Conrad officiating. Interment Pembroke Pentecostal Cemetery, Pembroke, Ontario, Canada. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to: Teen Challenge Columbus, PO Box 24099. Columbus, OH 43224, or The Central Ohio Diabetes Association, 1100 Dennison Ave.. Columbus, OH 43201.
