Born in Springhill on September 20, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Seibert Raymond and Elsie (Chell) Fisher. Prior to retirement, Dorothy was employed with the former K-Mart, having previously been employed with Al Cameron’s, Singer, Mitchel Furs and McCarron’s Tea Room. She was a caring sister and aunt, never forgetting a birthday. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, gardening, skating, painting and spending time with her family.
Surviving are sisters, Elsie Freeman, Pictou Landing; Pauline Chapman, Hopewell; Greta (Cecil) Hatt, Stellarton; Betty Fisher, Ontario; brother, Gordon (Ruth) Fisher, Bridgewater; her many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by twin sister, Doris; brothers, Chelbert and Harold; sisters-in-law, Gerry, Betty and Barb; brothers-in-law, Norman “Mike” Freeman, Gordon Cummings, and Cecil Chapman.
