Doris Marie McTavish
(July 21, 1929 – October 14, 2018)
Doris Marie McTavish of Castor, Alberta, formerly of Rosalind, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the age of 89 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Elaine (Garry) DeVloo of Castor; sons Allan (Theresa) of Edmonton, Bill (Jackie) of Drumheller, Ken of Camrose, and Jim (Rita) of Rosalind; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and siblings Vera Brausen of Daysland, Marjorie (Eddie) Stang of Camrose, Roger Hauser of Armena, and Jeannette (Glendon) Langille of Camrose.
Doris was predeceased by her husband Jack; children Bonnie Lynn, Roger Joseph, and Denise Marie; parents Joseph and Lavina Hauser; brothers Gerald, Ervin, Donald, Allam, and Lorne; and sisters Lorraine Gabrieau, and Deanna Baxandall.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 19, 2018 from the Rosalind Community Hall with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. Inurnment will take place in the St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery, Rosalind.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Doris’s memory may be made to Royal Canadian Legion Lacombe Branch#79, CNIB Canadian National Institute for the Blind, or to the Paintearth Lodge (4501 55 Ave, Castor, AB T0C 0X0).
