Ferguson, Doris Marie “Grannie” – 85 of Tatamagouche, passed away peacefully September 16, 2018 at home. Born in River John, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Alex MacIntosh. Doris moved to Brule point to farm with her husband and raise their three children. Cooking was Mom’s passion and on most Sundays there was a big home cooked meal. Later in life, she and Walter loved to travel and many adventures worldwide were had. Music played a huge part in her life with Saturday nights with a full house playing instruments while she played the piano. Later in life, going to music concerts was a big part of her life. She took pride in all her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s accomplishments and loved to receive the pictures of them sent to her. Surviving are her daughters, Sheryl, Liz (Larry) and Colleen (Ken); grandchildren, Christopher (Chris B.), Melanie (Gareth), Kyle (Shayna), Travis (Amy), Tyler (Melissa), Sara (Tanar) and Tanner (Shayla); great grandchildren, Kaleb, Levi, Ethan, Logan, Joshua, Landen and Penny; Special friend, Everett Murray. She was predeceased by her husband, Livingston Ferguson; Long-time companion, Walter Schaad; birth father, Lester Fraser. As with Doris’ wishes, there will be no visitation time or funeral service. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the War Amps or the IWK Foundation would be appreciated. The family would like to extended a special thank you to close friend and neighbor, Terry Purdy for all the wonderful help and care he had given our mother over the past few years.
