Obituary of Doreen Longley
LONGLEY, Doreen (nee Crosland) – With her family by her side, at Afton Park Place, Doreen Longley died on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Gordon Longley. Loving mother of Beverley Schuster & her husband John, London, Gary Longley, Corunna, Nicholas Longley & his wife Anne, Sarnia and Jane Longley & her partner Jack Rodgerson, Sarnia. Cherished grandmother of Emily (Ben), Brent (Cristal), Nicholas (Breanne), Michael (Jessica), Jennifer and Dawson. Great-grandmother of Karter, Konner and Trooper. Dear sister of Margaret Dawson, Huddersfield, England. Sister-in-law of Syliva Chivas, England, Bryan Longley & his wife Jean, England and Malcom Longley & his wife Nancy, California. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Harry & Nellie Crosland. Doreen & Gordon loved to dance and were members of the Sarnia Ballroom & Wallaceburg Dance Clubs. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 2-3:45 p.m. The funeral service will follow immediately in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel at 4 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations Alzheimer’s Society, 420 East Street North, Sarnia, ON N7T 6Y5 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 556 Christina Street North Sarnia, ON N7T 5W6.
