1935-2018
Nepisiguit Falls – Donald Carey, of
Nepisiguit Falls, NB, passed away suddenly on Saturday May 12, 2018 at
his residence, at the age of 82.
Born in
Bathurst, he was the son of the late Hazen & Martha (Black)
Carey.
He was pre-decease by his wife, Edith
(Harris) Carey.
He worked at the
former Smurfit-Stone Container for 43 years.
He is survived by three
sons: Stephen (Darlene) of Nepisiguit Falls, David
of Bathurst and James (Sophie) of Big River.
Two daughters: Heather Boucher (Dale) of Gloucester Junction
and Martha Bernard (Jean Claude) of Rough Waters,
NB.
Eleven grandchildren; Shauna (Jim
Hodgson), Kris (Whitney Good), Melanie (Zach Russel), Tiffany (Kevin
Bujold), Michel (Celine Duguay), Emily, Sarah and Bradly, Amy,
Jennifer and Sarah (Mike Issac).
Five
great-grandchildren; Abel, Cayden, Cayleb, Grayson and
Cohen.
Two brothers: Kenneth Carey (Freda) of
Canobie, NB and Cecil Carey (Delcie) of Big River, NB.
Two sisters: Annie Taylor of Oshawa, ON and Sharon McMinn
(late Donald) of Bathurst,
NB.
Several nieces
and nephews.
Besides his wife,
he was predeceased by a brother Harold and a sister Barbara
Dickson.
There will be no
visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Friday
May 18, 2018 at 4 p.m. from St. George’s Anglican Church,
King Ave., Bathurst. Donations in memory of Donald, may be made to the
Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favorite charity. Arrangements are in
the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com),
Bathurst.
