Desmond Boyd a resident of Wabaseemoong, Ontario passed away at Wabaseemoong on July 6, 2018.
He is survived by his loving mother Brenna Hunter, step father Jonathan Hunter, his one and only son Malakai Fisher. His sisters: Chasity (Emilio) & Patrina Ochapowace (Aryn), Step sister Nicole Hunter. Brothers: Trevor, Drake (Tami), his lil brother Reshay, foster brother Jervon Fox. Grandfathers: Joe Boyd (Sherri), Cory, Gabriel, Paul Michaud (Eliza), Perry, George, Pauly Kejick, step grandfather Joe Hunter. Grandmothers: Colleen Boyd, Bernadette McDonald, Pauline Brown, Diana, Isabel Michaud, step grandmother Sally Hunter. Uncles: Reggie (Lorraine), Terry, Joseph Jr.(Bertha), Garnet Michaud. Step uncles: Derrick, George, Joey Hunter. Aunties: Linda, Judy (Brandon), Valerie, Denise Moose (Larry) Step auntie: Virginia Hunter. His beloved nephew: Braedy Ochapowace. His beloved nieces: Keianna, Keirihanna, Leirah, Abbey, Zariah Jamison. Grandfathers: Leslie Paishk & Paul Muckle. Uncles: Larry Boyd, Wayne Paishk, Harry Michaud, Jr Michaud. Cousins: Darcy Boyd, Clarence, Freda, Violet Muckle, Dylan Kejick. Niece Katie Moose. Best friends: Cameron Land, Reuben Hunter, Robert Smith, Nathan Muckle.
Desmond loved spending time with his son whom he loved with all his heart, even thou he separated from his first love Shayleen Fisher he still cared for her. He loved being around his family & friends. He also enjoyed fishing, ski doo riding. Desmond was a quiet & humble person. He enjoyed keeping to himself, going to walks and spending time with his best friends Sidney & James Muckle. He also enjoyed joking around with his family and friends. Desmond had a free spirit, he was always so caring and kind to individuals.
Wake Service will begin on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 10:00 am at Joseph Boyd Sr.’s residence, then will be moved to the Community Hall on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Thursday. July 12, 2018 beginning at 12:00pm with Traditional Burial to follow.
