Obituary of Dennis Gordeyko
Dennis John Gordeyko
(August 1, 1947 – December 24, 2018)
Dennis passed away suddenly at home on December 24th, 2018.
He is survived by his partner Mary Jean Stuart; daughter Denise Gordeyko (Mark) Peterson of Armena; son Keith Gordeyko (Katherine Cook) of Ohaton; brother Allan (Elouise) of Ohaton; and sister Bernice Gordeyko of Edmonton. Dennis also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close family and friends.
He was predeceased by his son Kevin, and parents John and Helen Gordeyko.
Dennis was a successful farmer in the Camrose area his entire life, running a large cattle operation for many years. His love of the Clydesdale horse breed was his passion. He raised and exhibited them throughout Canada and the U.S.A. An exhibitor at the Royal Winter Show in Toronto and the World Clydesdale shows. The show circuit will miss his competitive showmanship. Dennis was also honored as a national and international heavy horse judge for many years.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 5th, 2019 at the CityLights church located at 4920 48 Street.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
