Delbert passed away peacefully on February 25, 2018, leaving behind his wife of 65 years Barbara (nee: Humphrey of Gladys Ridge); brother Louie; sister-in-law Evelyn Murokami; a clan of relatives and oodles of friends. He was predeceased by his parents Faro and Rachele and three sisters Lillian, Annie and Twin Delma.
Delbert lived all his life on the family farm in the Meadowbank District. He was a farmer, rancher, cowboy and trucker. Community minded, always ready to give a hand to… whoever needed one. He worked for the Calgary Stampede and Exhibition for over 25 years as chute boss for the tie-down, roping and steer wrestling. Delbert loved fishing at the coast, golfing and team roping, winning several times in this sport.
A Gathering of friends, neighbours and relatives will be held in the near future.
