Deirdre ‘Queen’ Dee Pretty June 23 1934 June 24 2018

Obituary
After a long battle with lung cancer, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her immediate family.
Dee was predeceased by her first husband John Stokes, second husband Ivan Pretty and brother Peter. She is survived by her daughter Barb (Dennis), son Chris (Kathy), sisters Wendy and Cathy, grand children John, Sean and Max, sister in law Joan, nephews and nieces Rick, Cam, Christina, Peter, Jennifer, Mike, Steve and Margo, and grand dog Torrey. She loved them all, and they all loved her.
Dee loved life and people. She had a great sense of humour and loved to laugh. She also loved shopping (and returning) and gardening. Her winters in Hawaii provided some of her fondest memories. She was always thinking about what she could do for others, and she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
A special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and caregivers who looked after Dee over the past few years. If desired, a donation to the BC Cancer Agency in her memory would be greatly appreciated.
A celebration of Dee’s wonderful life will be held on Saturday, September 8th from 12:30 to 3:00 pm at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club at 3811 Point Grey Road, Vancouver.
